Heat 3 of the Winning Appliances JJ Giltinan International….Michael Coxon, Aaron Links, Trent Barnabus delivered the goods on “Big Tuesday” in 25knts plus over the Southerly Course 4. Seve Jarvin’s Gotta luv it 7 crossed the line in 2nd, Nick Press’s Smeg filling the podium in 3rd, followed by Yandoo, Lumix and Rag & Famish Hotel in 6th place. “Big Tuesday” will be remembered for the spectacle that high skilled 18ft skiff crews displayed to the lucky spectators that witnessed the race. Due to the World Etchells race offshore abandonment, many Etchell teams took advantage of the skiff entertainment in their support boats, and back at the League post race. Among this throng was Seve’s father, Steve Mothie Jarvin, crew on the leading Etchell “Magpie” …..now there’s a possible result which may never be repeated?
